Welcome in the 'Groene Hart'
Het Groene Hart
The Groene Hart (Green Heart) is a variegated polder landscape surrounded by the large cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht. It had its origin through peat excavation and is now a valuable piece of nature with old peat meadow areas and characteristic old-Dutch towns and villages, traversed by ditches and rivers.
